Citation of Merit Award
In every organization there are those occasional members who give selflessly of service and leadership in their special fields without receiving the recognition which their dedication merits. These individuals will become apparent from time to time only through their long and distinctive service. Unlike the Omega State award, this certificate need not be given every year and an Omega State Award recipient is not eligible. To honor these women, a certificate of recognition may be given when a deserving member qualifies.
The selection of the recipient shall be the prerogative of the elected state officers: the president, the first vice-president, the second vice-president, the immediate past state president, the corresponding secretary, the recording secretary; in addition to the non-voting ex-officio members: the parliamentarian, the executive secretary, the treasurer, and the editor of Omega Peaks.
The nominee is to be a member of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International who is not eligible or has not received the Omega State Award. Length of service will be a consideration in the selection. The nominee shall have contributed outstanding service at the state and/or international levels.
