Things we learned at the 2018 Fall Board Meeting to inspire our Chapters
How beautiful DKG members are.
Three new Chapter Awards. Different items to include in chapter yearbooks. Details about new collegiate members. Confirmation and clarification of the new treasurer processes. To turn in Form 2 by February even if no Chapter members pass away. Possibilities for educational excellence. Ways to get our scholarship recipients to join. What state teams are doing for chapter teams. Members who can give programs. How to play a game for the Omega State Award. Ways to ensure different Teams are involved in projects. Leading a discussion on a new name for DKG. Using visuals and humor to share info. Details about the Road Scholar Program. Ways to retain members. How do we grow new leaders? Believe in the abilities and talents of current members. Ask members to take small jobs and encourage them when they do them. Encourage members to present programs about a topic of their expertise. Provide mentors and assistants to help and encourage new members in leadership positions. Present leaders can make the transition for new leaders easy and be willing to help. Nurture new members--and all members! Keep materials organized to pass on to next leader. Clean out folders and get things put together. Send out a newsletter after the meetings instead of waiting for the minutes. Use Teamwork to accomplish everything.
